What is a Caricature? The dictionary describes a caricature as "A description or characterization that exaggerates or distorts a character’s prominent features, usually for purposes of mockery." Our unique style of caricatures captures the character of an individual in a flattering way. This makes our caricatures an instant hit at any event.

How far in advance should I book your services? Usually 14-30 days before your event is adequate, though we have many dates booked 6 months to a year in advance, (especially Dec. & June) and can usually even cover an event last minute (Our top artists usually get booked first). Your best bet is to contact us as soon as you know the time and date of your event.

Do you offer pre-printed paper? Yes, you can have the paper for your cartoons printed ahead of time with text & graphics to memorialize your event, including custom border, theme, title, guest of honor's name, or company logo! Starting at $50 extra per event (100 pages)
What does your set up include? Our set up includes an easel, light and all materials to create caricatures, including protective sleeves. Client usually provides 2 chairs for each artist and electrical outlet near work area.
How many guests can you serve? Each artist can draw up to 20 people per hour, and many more can be entertained by watching others get drawn. For larger events we recommend booking more than one artist, as lines tend to get long.
Do you charge the guests? No. Caricatures are free of charge to event guests, and though tips are always welcome, we do not solicit them.
How much will it cost me? Our standard event rate is $125 per hour, per artist. That's only $6 - $10 per original work of art! We may require a 2 or 3 hour minimum depending on the date and location of your event. One artist can draw up to 20 people per hour in black & white, and up to 12 per hour in color. Do you do individual caricatures from photos? Yes. Starting at just $30 per person, we can create a caricature from a photo and have it in your hands in just a couple of business days. Please visit our Gift Cartoons page for more info.

Having a caricature artist at your event creates a great ice-breaker, offering guests who may not know each other an obvious topic for conversion and a unique form of entertainment that gives each guest a personalized party favor to remember your special event by. Book your event two weeks or more in advance and we can preprint our drawing stock with your company logo or event theme, assuring a customized gift your guests will never forget. Additional charge applies.

At parties, Dominic can draw up to 20 people per hour, and many more will be entertained as likenesses of friends, family members and business associates appear magically before their eyes! Each person is featured doing a favorite hobby, pastime, sport or occupation. The cartoons are drawn with a black permanent marker on white 8 1/2 x 11 card stock (custom printing available for an additional charge). *Color may be added with color pencil sticks (Prismacolor) at no additional charge. A Gift Caricature is a great way to memorialize a new retiree or newly weds, or to say "Thank You" to an employee or coworker for a job well done. Our gift caricatures focus on capturing the likeness of the individual in a flattering light, while keeping the subject matter light-hearted and fun.
